Oh, shoot. Of course it is! Now I remember that I was among those who pooh-poohed the celebration of the year 2000 as the beginning of the new millennium because I knew that 2001 was the true start of the millennium. Now I've been stupidly carried along by the tide of popular but wrong belief that 2010 is the beginning of a new decade when it's actually the end of a decade. That's about as bad as thinking that midnight is the end of a day rather than the beginning of it. (I always say that deadlines should be set at either 11:59 PM or 12:01 AM to avoid this confusion.)
