I met a man in prison for life (in my professional capacity…lawyern’) who had fantastically accurate tattoos of his eyes inked on his eyelids. He said it was so he could sleep. I asked how long it took? A long time. I asked if it hurt as bad as I imagined and he said “mind over matter, if you’re out of your mind, it just doesn’t matter.”
